TH400 pan bolt torque (cork gasket)

I need to pull the pan off my trans to verify lokar dipstick. Trans is a Rossler terminator 3 if that matters. What do I torque the pan bolt to and in what pattern to insure that I won't destroy the gasket. It doesn't leak now and I'd like to keep it that way.

1/4 turn past hand tight.

Run the stick down outside the tube and mark it.

Yea the tube is easily removed so that is probably the best idea instead of screwing up a perfectly good gasket seal.

No need to remove the tube and you will get a more accurate location with it still in.

Stay away from cork gaskets.There are much beteer and readily available "FARPAK" gaskets .

Are these farpak gaskets available at general auto stores or would it be something I'd have to order on the interweb?
