While my trans is out to fit my new converter i thought i had better fit an aftermarket forward hub. The one in the first link below says it is 4140 billet and comes with the torrington thrust bearings to replace washers and says requires no machining. Would this be a good choice for a street/strip car. I haven't heard of the brand. I'm not sure it is as strong as the TSI brand of hub which they say is rated at 2000hp and i think (but not sure) is 1045 forged. But i like the idea of the torrington bearings and no machining required. I'm having a difficult time deciding which one to buy (which has been the case for almost everything i buy since 2014, because parts cost double what you pay for us now to get here in Australia because of the exchange rate/shipping/taxes) so i try to do things once only.

What are the good transmission builders using. I guess either one will do. The first one isn't giving a HP rating.

34322-02K extreme duty forward clutch hub is manufactured from forged 4140 steel and features nitrited and case-hardened splines to eliminate spline wear in extreme applications. Includes bearing between hub and direct clutch housing. The case-hardening at bearing surfaces is cut back to make further modifications easier.

This forward clutch hub and bearing combination shifts the support of the forward clutch hub from the main shaft to the direct housing and sun gear shaft.

Compared to OE or other replacement forward clutch hubs, Sonnax extreme duty forward clutch hub kit 34322-02K has an additional .025” thickness designed-in to reduce endplay and provide further endplay adjustment options. No machining is required for typical installation.
•Eliminates spline wear in extreme power and offroad applications
•Simple installation adds bearing and reduces unit endplay
•Easily modified for addition of second bearing

What it says in bold lettering above, I better do some more research before i buy this, in case i need to upgrade more hard parts.

Might be better off just using the heavy duty Sonnax 34322-01 forward hub with thrust washer.
