I’m using strange DA, at what eat do you feel it’s time to upgrade and to what? First 1/8 went 4.14 but was a handful

OK, so remember I'm no expert, and I asked several people this question over the years and the answer was usually always the same.
Of course I'm just a bracket racer, you didn't post application????

The smarter the guy is, the answer was if it's not broke, don't fix it!!!
If he thinks he's smart, the answer was you need the latest & greatest adjustable P/S pieces that you program.

"KISS"

I still have the same antique Koni's since 1994.
They have been used with a 500" P/S engine. 706" P/M engine at 2000 HP.
Multiple N2O 500 inch T/S engines up to 1600 HP and now a mild injected methanol Hemi at 1650 HP.

Send them off every so often and keep them fresh.

I get the car scaled for every engine change, all the heims & hardware are fresh,
my ARB is heavy duty, my wheelie bars are extra heavy duty.

So I try to make sure it's as stable as possible before letting go of the button.

Good luck.

Who do you send your Koni's to? Have a customer with a very worn out set. Have replaced with some DA JRI's but would like to have the Koni's rebuilt. They're oooold.

OK, he said get new shocks, but if you are a cheap ass like me, check with Performance out in california.
That's who we used last time, but it's been several years.
My Lambs were just redone two years ago, that's probably what I was thinking of when I posted.

It probably is time to get some modern Strange pieces so we can just drive them over if anything ever happens.
These Koni's are from 1994 and have seen a lot of abuse over 30 years!!!

Good luck, if performance is still around they do good work.

It's already been suggested above but I would contact Marc Smith at MSR Suspension out of Charlotte, NC. He sells JRi shocks but can work on most any. You would probably benefit from getting some JRi's. I have reguar JRi double adjustable shocks on my car and run in the 3.70s and low 3.80s with a best of 3.74 at 200mph. At the time I bought them they were an $1,800 pair of shocks. Not that price anymore more than likely but just saying you don't have to spend big money to get a quality shock. Marc will steer you right, whichever direction that is.
