well guys, been going crazy trying to figure out my ignition setup, motor is sbf dart 427, holley hp efi, innovators west crank trigger, 64bit tuning cam sync, gm truck coil packs. holley universal coil on plug harness. have injectors 1234 pass bank 5678 drivers, coils same. ford ho firing order 13726548. car will not start .

so I re-pin coils to 2468 pass and 1357 drivers, change firing order to gm ls 18726543, car starts right up.

whats the deal here? anyone else have this issue? should I re-pin injectors to match? also should I use the drivers front cylinder to check timing now that its #1

I don't use Holley but if it's like the Haltech setup, you have to input the engine's firing order into the program's engine parameters. Then you have to make sure the signal to each coil matches the wiring diagram order.

#1 coil signal wire goes to cylinder #1, #2 goes to cyl #2, #3 goes to cyl #3, etc...

This way the ECU will look at your firing order then send the signals in the correct sequence to each coil. For sequential injectors, you do the same thing.

I would verify this with the ECU's instructions but this should be correct.

I must have checked the pinout a 100 times. used a meter to check continuity from ecu to coil all is correct. was able to turn off cam sync and it fired yesterday, but was only running on 5 cylinders. when I check spark all 8 have spark. not sure what's up. when I pin ecu to coils on 2468 pass and 1357 drivers and change firing order to 18726543 it runs on all 8 but timing is off 25 degrees

yes sir, I have number one coil output from ecu going to coil pack on #1 cylinder and so on with 2-8. and am using sbf ho firing order 13726548. I also verify that each cylinder is firing at the correct time on the balancer which it does with the cam sensor turned off. since I think that is in the wrong position, and causing timing to b incorrect

I'm not sure what the issue is, maybe I have a few bad coil packs. just hopping some has had the same weird issue and chims in.
