Short story.
I go to Pep Boys and get a set of spark plugs for my Cutlass in the 80s. Buy them and head home. I go to change them the next morning and they are all used. Someone returned used plugs. This is when plugs were 89 cents! They thought I was the one trying to scam them! Manager recognized me and got me a new set. Now, I open a couple boxes at the counter when buying plugs.
