I prefer the factory LS7 castings (with OE valves) and a port program from Dennis Wheet/Airflow Development. I have a cam/valvetrain system that is pretty much scienced out at this point for them, coupled with Dennis' heads and the MSD it is a very strong combo. I usually keep the compression ratio at factory levels or even slightly less and run them on 91/93 octane. Alot of the big name H/C combos out there claim to make 610+ SAE whp, but it is very rare on a real dyno from what I have seen, and they never run as strong as they should. I think the biggest issue is most of these head porters are just making the ports too large chasing flowbench numbers. As far as intake MSD out of the box is the best bang for the buck IMO.

What has the car run?

Most of these setups are in stick shift C6Z's that don't see the track a ton, but 133mph in 5200-5500ft air is what my H/C setups have done on average. 10.3x-10.7 depending on driver skill in our air.
