It's common knowledge that the M/T Drag radials are bad ass and that cars are going crazy fast with them.
It's also common knowledge that slicks work extremely well and cars have been flyin' on these for years.
Radial guy's that have figured out how to hook em' swear buy them, while others quickly revert back to a slick and will never look back.
I would love to run a radial, but I can't help but think a slick will be faster.
Most guy's have to gradually bring on power with a radial while slick guy's can hit it harder out of the gate. On the other hand radials don't grow and allow for a more stable ride upstairs.
Let's do this with no class rules or streetability concerns, just pure drag racing e.t. Figure it to be a fast car w/ at least 750rwhp @ 3100lbs or so. The suspension and everything else would be configured right for each application.
So here are some questions;
Has anyone used both a slick and a D/R on their car?
Which was fastest?
What do you like better?
If you took a car setup correctly for each tire, which tire would run the best?
Let's get some info on this, add anything that may help even if it's your car setup, e.t., and what tire you use. Also, why you would or wouldn't switch.
