I switched over to alcohol this year and I am having a difficult time in judging the carb jetting. typically i would look for the carbon ring at he bottom of the plug and the mark on the ground strap for timing when I used 110 fuel. In the case of alcohol, it is very difficult from what I see to look for those signs.
So... how many jets up or down do I go to try to hone in what the engine wants? 4 at a time in each direction? more?
My carb is set at 171 square at the moment. Seems a bit sluggish down low but in high gear the car comes alive.
I typically have 34 degree of timing, should I move 2 degrees to 32 or 30?
Any help would be greatly appriciated!
