Not likely...maybe if same brand and line ? But why chance it and have to re-do everything again.

 

If you do try it, make a small test first.

 

I have done it to cocktail an activator for the temp I was spraying in. Nowadays, there are usually a high temp, medium and low temp (or slow, medium, and fast) activators made for every type of clear, but back when I was doing it, there were often only two,...an overall paint job clear, (slow) and a panel paint clear (fast).

I would never try it with different brand hardeners, or do it using hardeners not made for the brand paint I am using.

 

Thanks for your replies all. I tried doing this on a small paint job, same brand hardener but different cure times, mixed 50/50 and i have no issues.

Ill just add to that. When your spending big money on paint materials stay the hell away from "internet designer" items just in case.
