Looking at purchasing an Intech enclosed trailer for hauling my car around. Had been shopping through a bunch of manufacturers and keep coming back to Intech.

Looking for any feedback on the trailer build and feel free to throw pricing my way if you are a dealer. Sent a bunch of emails out today to see what I can find for the cheapest price. The biggest thing is going to be the wait to get this thing.

I have no doubts that it will be great, but I can't stand companies that can't manage deadlines. It turns into a gigantic pain in the ass when that continues to slip.

12 week lead time turns into 18 week lead time.
Pickup Labor Day week turns into mid September.
Trailer agreed to be completed the week of September 18 and picked up on the 22 doesn't get moved into production until September 14. I called to verify that the 22nd was still on. I would typically think this would be the other way around.
The 22nd slipped to the 29th.

I have continuously been told that it will be quick once production starts, but that is still no excuse to not keeping the consumer up to date on the schedule and why or what is causing the dates to slip.

Their latest excuse was that they didn't have any turn signals for the trailer.

I'm sorry, but every trailer that goes out the door needs turn signals. Every trailer that is the Icon package has the same signals. They should have a shit load of them. Putting 20% down when the drawings were signed of should be enough to have most of the components ordered. There is no excuse for a delay on a small, common component like that when you receive 20% money down in May.

Looks nice, I still can't believe people risk that kind of money on dual axles.
That's an awfully big investment to gamble!!!
A few bucks for a huge added safety feature, I just don't get it???

They are Amish gents, riding their lay down bicycles back and forth to home 3 miles away. No need to get in a hurry.

I own a 2014 inTech race trailer and it has been fine except for 2 issues. On one side the angle cove between the wall and the ceiling separated. Took it back and the fixed it overnight. I also have intermittent inside electrical issues. Sometimes the lights, fans and louver operators all quit working at once. I have talked to them about it and they will take it back and fix it This trailer only has 12 volt power from the truck and no breaker box. I took all the switches and lights out and found that all the white ground wires are just screwed to the aluminum frame work. There is no continuous ground wire to all the users of power. All the 7 wires from the trailer plug go to a 4"x 4" junction box and the white ground wire is terminated there to a lug grounded to the frame. With the way the trailer is constructed there is no easy way to get a ground wire to all the accessories.

They don't seem concerned about the grounding and say it passes code that way.

The white wire from the 7 way plug to the frame is the only common item to grounding and always shows 12 volts across whether the lights work or not. The trailer ball should also ground it too?

My trailer has plywood with vinyl floor over it. No issues yet. It was $14K. not many options.

Rest of trailer has been a pleasure to own. Pull it with my 2014 Chevy Silverado with 5.3 gas engine and 3.43 rear ratio. 3000# race car, midget Cricket golf cart, homemade aluminum bench with tool box and some tools. Mostly flat land towing in central Illinois.

One option I asked them to do is install side gutter/rails. Rain does not go on the sides from the top. No streaking at all. But birds do like to perch on it. Hadn't thought of that one. Also I like the Pewter color. It does not show dirt as bad as white.

I believe we were looking around 5000, give or take a few hundred. That will be posted on my Customer Portal once it is complete.

The truth is that Intech's customer service SUCKS!
It's quite shocking too. Their website is nice, the Customer Portal is great with the daily updates of the photos. Just surprised they can't put it all together.

It does not shock me though. There are very few companies in the auto / performance industry that know what a calendar / schedule is and can keep to it.

Glad I found this thread. I've been trailer shopping and inTech keeps coming to the top of the list. They're pricey, but they look nicer than anything else out there. I need about 28' of floor space and I'm trying to decide between a 30' tag and a 38' GN. the GN is a bit more money, but I'm a little scared of a tag that's that long. Especially behind a 3/4 ton truck. Some of the accessory suggestions in here are great too.

If I were going to order my 26' inTech over again, I would have the entire face done in brite tread plate. I spend a lot of time carefully cleaning the front off from bugs trying not to let the finish get damaged from stains.

I did think to have 2 LED lites installed down low in the back on a separate switch to see when tieing down my car. Wish I had got all LED 12 volt lites. As it is, I have 4 round 12 volt lites overhead and 2 powered louvers with MAX AIR louver covers added so can leave louvers up all the time.

The side channel/gutters are worth the money too.

Too bad they don't wire the ground wires for the interior lites and fans all together to the ground wire coming from the trailer plug. Mine work when they want to.

I assume you didn't order yours and therefore didn't signoff on the drawings.

If this question was for me I did order mine and just assumed that two switches were standard. I saw the switch for the ramp light and thought that was for the overhead light. I didn't even know I didn't have a second switch for a couple of months. I'd really like to put in a second switch back there for my low loading lights as well. Mine has 3 switches in the front 110V, ceiling 12V then low mount 12V. Then just one for the ramp 12V in the rear.
