How light is your 4th gen f-body

jump over to ls1 tech in the drag race section..they got a weight reduction list that gives weights..if you use lexan an get fiber glass hatch and hood,strip all the b.s out of it and re wire her,gut the doors,get tube k member,arms and race breaks..with a iron block,th350 an 9" with out cage you could be around 2550 with out you id say

they aint that bad...you will be shocked on how heavy some of the parts on them are..swapping to pin on hatch and lexan is worth 75#s or so..front lexan is 15# and windows is around 15#s savings also..bumpers and brackets are 40#s..air bags are like 30#s..the seats are around 100#s..swaping out the 4le60 to a glide is 60#s..sound deading shit is around 40#s..exh systen is like 75#s..<br /> <font size="1"><i>Posted via Mobile Device</i></font>

either i had a thread or i posted in it..there was a guy that said they had one down to 2760 with gutted doors an lexan,stock k and brakes,fiber glass hood,alum head 350,700r4 and 12 bolt with a steel 10pt cage..the wiring is suppost to be heavy in these things..i got mine but am waiting for the cold weather to lighten up before i work on it..got to much shit in the garage to get it all the way in..lol doohhhhh

IF your using a firebird i sell carbon fiber body panels for them that are a direct factory bolt on repalcment..front fenders weight 1 lb the rear hatch with no glass weights 12..bumper covers are aprox 10..

so your around 2935-2945 with out you..is that stock carpet and stuff?..the carpet is 40#s in these cars and the black sound matt on the inner fire wall is 15#s..door bars and door panels are 43#s
