I have an engine customer who runs a stock looking 1968 Mustang. It weighs 3200 lbs, He runs a C-4 ( no brake ) with a 5500 converter- but can fit no bigger tire than a 10 X 28 slick. It runs good, but he wants to get a little more out of it. It has a 4.11 gear now, and the bite is very good ( 1.31-1.33 60 ft ) I keep thinking that more gear ( like 4.88 ) might make it quicker off the line. He runs 6.13-6.14, at 112 xx now at 3000 feet alt .I just dont know if it can stand much more first gear ratio
