Without a doubt, NHRA has to be paying attention!
Don't know what that means going forward, I'm just a spectator at this point. No track up the street anymore.☹

If there is only two passes to qualify, that's a significant saving at IHRA. Nitro is not cheap nor tires, oil, cluth discs, pistons, rods,,etc...
I dont think you are required to make all the Q runs in NHRA. Might be an issue if you have a sponsor. Its only a 4 round race so They really only need 2 or 3 Q runs.

nhra charges you a penalty if you don't make all of the qualifying runs.
That's how much they care about the teams, they punish you if you are on a shoestring budget!!!

I understand they want the best program for the fans, but that is kind of petty,
to take money away from teams that can't afford it!!!

How about make the program better so 20-25 cars show up instead of abusing the 14-18 that do.

All the green reminds me, do you know why NHRA tracks were predominantly red and white?
Hint: They got the paint for free.
Maybe common knowledge but trivia nonetheless.

I'm guessing green is his companies color.
Or he really likes Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc.

Interesting that there is no elevator for HC access. Atco had to add one when they put a new tower in.

Those look old as dirt with fresh paint.
Maybe if they add on they will be forced into elevators???

I guess that why you see the underfunded teams blow the tires off at the start and coast down if they are already in the program . There is rarely a bump spot anymore

That Tower is built using shipping containers
I figured that out watching the stream earlier. I kept looking at the tower and thinking that it reminded me of something. Then it finally dawned on me that they stacked a couple of 40 foot shipping containers atop each other, placed them on some I-beams, and presto, instant tower!

Speed Sport Channel has been showing the IHRA race all day today.

That's the official channel, but there's no CATV at my farm, so I have to use youtube, so that's what I post.
I'm rarely at home any more.

I downloaded the Speed Sport App to my TV but couldn't get it to work. YouTube feed works fine on my TV.
I'm watching it delayed. I'm not exactly sure why, but I think Pro Mod is the most interesting to watch. Lots of upsets there today.

The track does look short for 1000' or ¼ mile.
Looks like a nice facility though.

That new 300' definitely helps.
The map shows it shorter than they claim, but I race shorter and we have P/M's able to stop running the full 1/4 mile.

Everything this Guy buys looks amazing.
If it doesn't he sure makes it nice before anyone see's it.

I'm still hoping he buys my little track, memphis, Atco and maybe even PBIR and really puts the IHRA in a stronger situation then they ever were!!!

I agree with you on all points. PBIR is a great track that often has great conditions conducive to record runs. IHRA needs a facility like that on their schedule. Reviving Atco and Memphis would also be great. Hopefully Cordova eventually makes its way back under IHRA sanction. And there's still the chance that VMP will be IHRA by next season if the rumors are accurate.

IHRA is on some really solid footing right now. We just need to figure out what is needed to get more butts in the stands and find a series sponsor and some event sponsors. This is a really good product and this first season, which was hastily put together BTW, has honestly exceeded my wildest expectations, especially when it comes to interest from the pro racers.

I can't wait to see what is in store for 2026 and beyond. I believe Darrell Cuttell has a very real opportunity to take IHRA to a level it has never been before.

I just finished watching Rt 42. Long night, lol. Played a poker tournament. I won!

I enjoyed the broadcast as well as the others I watched.
Nobody is a stuffed shirt in the live stream. All the commentators and reporters do a good job. Don't have to listen to sponsor after sponsor. Do you think nhra would let disco dean call his caddy "The Pink Penetrator " ?

Definitely need more asses in the seats though.

Atco used to be ihra and had a nationals there. I remember having a good time. Spoke with Don Gartlis, Doug Herbert and others easy.
Pro Mod was in the early years. Low 7s and high 6s. Good times!

Here's a video if you have time to kill.

I might be in there somewhere!

Highly disappointed the fans still aren't coming out.

It's a damn shame the people aren't appreciating Mr. Cuttell's efforts more.
The show has been pretty damn good.
The fuel cars could be better, but the rest have been absolutely top quality racing!!!

Adding those fuel altereds was an excellent idea.
Showing Mr. Cuttell isn't afraid to spend money for building a better show.

Let's hope the alcohol guys will start gaining cars and some better quality fuel cars will make the fans get out to the track!!!

The P/M's are getting better every week, and with three classes, that will continue to grow.

the top fuel class put on a hellava show this weekend! i think it kinda makes the classes better without the big budget teams coming in

Some people are snobs. They won't come out unless John Force & Kenny Bernstein are racing!!!

I just want the IHRA to succeed, bitch slap the frick out of the nhra and last longer than all of us this time!!!
