Fairly new to Yellowbullet, can anyone recommend a Machine Shop in the Cincinnati area who has the following capabilities;
  • Block Boring/Decking
  • Line Boring/Honing for Billet Caps
  • Crankshaft Grinding/Balancing
  • Fly-cutting Pistons for Valve Relief

I have the parts to build a small block Ford and want it to be durable, as it will not be driven lightly, example: Forged Pistons, Hydraulic Roller Cam, Billet Main Caps, Head Studs, Main Studs, Heads Ported by CFM Performance in Indianapolis (Thank you Mike!) I'd like to maximize the output with the components I chose, and to make the Power Tour in the car!

In Hamilton, tucked away near the RR tracks. Easiest to get there from 129. I use then for my trans case cleaning, was referred to them by a Stangbanger.

BES is not too far away in Indiana, maybe a 35 drive from me in Fairfield area.

What general area are you of the Nasty Nati?

Butch smith in Frankfort ky. Little bit of a drive but he is a good guy, turns stuff in good amount of time. Builds some nice pieces at fair prices. Was a sprint car racer and still has some close ties in nascar. He has done several for me and is well known around this area.

I’ve been around bullet for ages. Lost my login during the shuffle.

Bob Kammer builds a few Stocker engines every year. They are in Huber Heights, gets North and East of Dayton. Although Mopars are the favorite I have seen all brands.
Horsepower Sales is off Paddock Rd and I-75 in North Cincy. Terry Smith races Comp and builds all.
More details about Horsepower Sales location as it sound like crackers old shop on Vine.

Mr Newport did own part of Horsepower Sales, I believe. Years ago I made boat parts for them but, the engine shop is behind Cincy Speed and a touch farther south. If I’m not mistaken there’s a used car lot in front of it.
I just did a map search and there’s a used car lot in front of every building now! Pass Cincy Speed going south and turn left, go thru the next car store, and the engine shop is back there.

back by the burnout box?

I did not know his dad was into boats. I was at Edgewater the night Craig wrecked the Monte SS. I remember him and "Tow truck" Dave Sawyer falling on their ass after the lights from the water/coolant a mid 60's vette put done after popping the upper house off the Tstat housing for the second time that night. Gut in the timing booth say it but they sent the next pair before they shut the track down. Say track owner that was sending cars down the track as a storm cell was on the top end of the track, couldn;t see the boards when we left, but at 1/2 track it was a down pour, not fun in a FWD Honda on MT slicks.

A big fuck you to Dick Weinle, former owner who died a few years ago. His son has made the needed changes to the track. Can't call it slickwater anymore. I just wish I had a decent car to run there. I hope to be there Sunday for Muscle Car day, if it doesn't get rained out again.

Run from terry,he cost our good friend about 30 grand in a sbc deal.horrible wait on parts, then it blew up in 8 passes.intake bolts were finger tight.then another chance to fix it.made 3 passes, all 1/8 th mile and spun a bearing. It had a 1/4 in oil pump to pan clearance when he put a new pump and different brand and never checked clearance and bearing spec was crazy tight.b.e s. Is fixing all the problems now.you pay more with Tony but he does what he says.he redid our heads after we melted one, softended chambers, welded, re decked, new valve job and was exactly on time and the price they quoted.
