Looking for some feed back. I searched, but mostly older posts show up. I am thinking about sending a Crower crank to them for repair. Anyone have any resent experience with them? Anywhere else on the west coast do any decent repairs? Need to do a few rod throws.

I was hoping that you would speak up, as you seem to have some good info about Crower and So Cal in general. I sent them an email asking about their process and price structure and have not heard back from them. I feel if I can repair for about half the price of new, then I will do it.

Marine crankshaft welded up the crank for my 225 promax on my Allison that had wiped out one of the rod journals. After reassembly It lasted one day on the water before seizing ...on that throw... and sent the rod through the block. I wont have another cast crank welded by them or anyone else. It looked nice.

The last one Mile High repaired had lots of porosity in the rod journal radii. If the crank flexes, it's likely material will flake from the porous area.
Only had one repaired by Marine and it was pretty good. The Shaftech has the nicest finish and sizing of the three we are discussing.

I have used Mile High successsfully but after the crank I described, I tried Marine and was satisfied, I tried Shaftech and was impressed. At my age, I am seldom impressed anymore.
