I wonder what the reaction would be if Ben Affleck would have done that instead of Will Smith.

Will was laughing until he realized Jada wasn't.

If it wasn't staged, it was simply that he told himself after being a deemed a bitch about her cheating being made public that if anything happened again he'd do something about it. - Thus the bitch slap (not punch as the headlines are reading) was just that and even Chris just laughed it off.

He's not "defending her honor" when she chose to be offended by a joke.


Most of us would never have known the Oscars had even happened if it weren't for the slap, so it seems to have served its purpose for the entertainers.
