C4 2-3 flare

I recently built my first c4 and have a problem with a bad 2-3 flare @ WOT. Anything other than WOT it shifts fine into 3rd and matter of fact sometimes you cant even tell it shits. I have used the search option and found numerous posts with this same issue but it seems like noone EVER posts back with what they actually found to be the issue. Just about every part in this trans is TCI (yeah I screwed up)and I tried their tech support but I could tell the guy was basically reading from a script and could not really answer any question I asked. I am thinking the problem lies between the Valve Body (Part# 522100 Manual/Auto TCI) and the Billet Servo (Part#523005). I have read a lot of bad things about these TCI valve bodies since I bought it and thinkin I really screwed up. Should I have went Full Manual vs. Man/Auto? My 1-2 shift feels fine but when I go 3rd the rpm's will go sky high until I let off the gas and get back in it. I have read a few threads that mention a "servo mod" recommended for the TCI valvebodies but I cant find any real instructions or pictures anywhere. Of course the guy at TCI had NO idea about any type of servo mod.

The things I have already tried are playing with the band adjustment (zero effect) and checking the linkage in every single position.

Just a little insight on the parts inside:
C4 Type F Fluid
Overall endplay .020
pump cooler check ball mod
teflon stator rings
TCI clutch kits (set to TCI spec .008 - .010 clearance)
TCI Billet Servo 523005
New TCI bands (front 1 1/2 turn rear 3 turns)
TCI Manual/Auto valvebody 522100
Performance Automatic Rollerized planetaries w/6 pinion
TCI 451922 convertor 3600 stall
Performance Automatic deep pan

Thanks in advance!

So a pressure issue more than likely at the servo? Isnt one of the benefits to a manual valve body is increased pressure? The fitment of the servo cover side was very tight which has me really wondering about needing more pressure

TCI reverse manual V-body's were bad to cause a flare.... I got tired of having to tap the hole under servo cover, Do the piston mod, and still had a flare... Started using PA and problem solved.... No mods !

Pa valve body for the win with 1turn out on the band
950hp mustang goes 30-40 passes before it starts to do any sign of a flare which by then needs high gear .

Yeah Im about ready to pull the trigger on one right now and want to go manual vb but I dont really care to go reverse. This may be one of the dumbest questions ever but with a reverse pattern my current shifter will still work but the indicator will be wrong right?

You'll need a different shifter--you old one will not work.

Hutch yes the modulator is hooked up. The problem only happens @ WOT. Normal driving is fine and you can hardly even tell it shifts because it it so quick. I have not checked line pressures but I plan to tomorrow.

You'd almost be better to ditch that valvebody and swap to a rebuilt original with something like a transgo stage 2 kit . Rest of the build looks decent .

On the modulator setup. How was it adjusted ? What length pin and preload ?

Sory for the delay fellas but knowing earlier in the week I wouldnt have much time to check pressures and such I went ahead and ordered a Dynamic manual VB and a PA servo. The car now shifts hard and ZERO flare. Thanks for all you guys knowledge
