have a set of 335cc AFR heads already from my old 468 build. looking to base a new build around them. nothing carried over except heads. looking into a 540 or 565 type deal. this will be a local budget 275 radial n2o deal. would like to hear from some of you guys on setups. will be on race gas. id like to see 900hp+ doable? lets hear some ideas and combos out there with these heads.

Might as well do a 565. It doesnt really cost more. Then you can always get a little more done to the heads at another point if you want.

we can run SCSN vegas rules OR x275

scsn:
Big Blocks Nitrous up to 550ci............................................2800 lbs
Big Blocks Nitrous 551ci to 600...........................................2900 lbs
Big Blocks Nitrous 601ci to 650ci Max................................3000 lbs

those heads would suck on a tall deck 600+ deal, hurts my brain to think about it haha.

The cross section for that head is good for a 565 ~7000rpm but it definitely needs the biggest valve you can get in it. Bigger engine=less rpm, smaller engine=more rpm. Have another set on a NA 565 with 2.35 valve that makes right at 1K hp, >800tq and a very streetable cam. It's not a 335 when done but the difference is, the additional volume is all in the bowl and we leave the front of the port alone to keep the cross section.

i hear ya. but for budgets sake i cant touch the heads. it would be nice to sell them and get some big ones, or port/valve these. but for the sake of this build, in reality its temporary. working with out of the box ones. what about intakes? ive been reading up on everyone discussing the profiler sniper and the eddy 2896. this thing is going to live on the bottle. if it makes peak at 7k id be happy but more would be nice though. my old 468 had the worlds heaviest bottom end, these heads, a small 268/279 at 110 cam, 12:1 a stock eddy vic jr. and a 1000 cfm 4150 and it made peak at 7k on the dyno. only made 700hp. the combo was mismatched though.
