Who's using this heads ..? How fast what combos ..? Any flow numbers independent other than afr ..?
Thx in advance

1200 depending on CUI and combo....

Big compression, big cam..... easily doable....... just need the exhaust throat opened up and rework the exhaust port to accommodate it.......

I have a pair on my personal 532 cui BBC and am knocking on 1100hp N/A... not a big cam either
about .800 after lash intake and 788 exhaust. Mine is a Bracket build to makes some laps...

they will make Power and are a tough casting......

So a 615ci with 14:1 afr 385 heads sniper ported intake vaccum pump wet sump 115-115 286int 310exh .920"int .890" 2.25 2.375 stepped to a 5" collector can it make 1150hp ..? Oh yea and some nitrous after on it ... Valve Springs 420lbs seat 950open not the afr stuff

Stainless Valves are heavy there for you need to make sure they don't float especially on a nitrous motor ... Never had a motor give me a problem because of too much spring pressure but it definitely it will show a problem when you don't have enough... That's just my opinion

Springs AFR uses are Pac, but marginal for .800" lift. Retainers AFR uses are for triple springs, inner springs are not located by step. Valves are their spec, but are not the best quality or brand name. Shims under spring cups are not full outer diameter of cups, more like you would use for 1.550" springs. AFR and T&D don't seem to communicate on what shaft rockers to use on current heads. Flow ratings are specd with port adapters and radius' to make them look better. They push the hi ratio of exhaust flow versus intake flow in their designs, but that is just salesmanship. JMO.

Their castings are very nice quality. If you look at the price they charge for their assemblies versus the bare castings, you know those extra parts are not enough money to be the best quality. They say they sell those extra parts at cost to keep the price down.

2 intake ports on each head have marginal threads left for rocker studs after CNC porting. And no helicoils there either to help strength, if it would.

That being said, I have 357 CNC heads and have rebuilt a 532" pulling engine with 385 CNC. Neither have had any issues yet.

George I think you'd be better with the RFD Victor Sportsman 24 Eddys then the AFR? You get everything for about the same price, but I think a better head for the application with RFD. Plus you have the advantage of possibly going 2.4 intake valve if you wish. RFD would just be a better bang for the Buck if you ask me.

Me personally, if your going to put a 2.400 in it, i'd go right to a 1.860 exhaust valve with 50* seats on intake and exhaust.......
it'll help with there small exhaust throat.... but open it up according to what you want to spray it.....
if not and you want the 1,880, you'll likely nee to put a clip angle on the intake valve to make sure it has clearance....
your looking to run a big cam..... so it's be safe to do it.........

I think the 2.350 is fine, not sure why you want a 615 cui..... more frictional losses from the stroke
i'd build a 582 in my opinion...... built right, it'll haul ass......

Not sure what your budget is, But look at BES Brodix X275 head.....
badass piece and will make a shit ton of power....
he has the heads moved a bunch

We race no rules just no bars no w tire max 29.5 .., I run on 28stiffs... Got a killer deal on all new rotating , Ohio pro max 4.75 crank , Oliver billet 6.7" rods , Manley 1.12" 42cc dome lateral gas ports .043 .043 3mm Pistons all new in boxes with the bill... And a CNC bow tie block mint like new with main studs ... Could not pass on this deal trust me lol... To be ownest I propably will go with the afr 385 and I'll clean them up a little maybe do a 50* int valve job and check the exh throat as your saying ... I don't know the heads so that's why I am asking ... I have a sniper intake and what ever it makes it makes ... ? My 572ci with 398cfm made 960hp/780trq so I am sure I'll make about 1100hp with 632ci 450cfm heads and 14.5:1 comp on Q16 gas ports thin ring pack etc...
