I ran the 50 ton rail crane in this Lackawanna Bethlehem steel building in the early 90’s. At the time it was an industrial machine shop Metro Machine. Now it’s all dead.

The late, great Oak Hill Raceway outside of Henderson, Texas. From 1974 through 2009, the 1.8 mile, 8-turn track hosted everything from motorcycle roadracing to karts of all kinds to SCCA solo sprints, with multiple national and world champions cutting their teeth on the tricky little track. I turned race laps there every year from 1987 until 2009. These pix were taken in 2012, about two and a half years after the track's last race and shortly before the whole place was strip mined into oblivion...
