There were some heads up Mustang guys that would occasionally toss taller front tires on to improve their qualifying position. I dont know if they ever paid attention to the RT change tho?

I have used a 28" MT tire a couple of different times over the years.
2 inches is drastic.........probably worth .040?


How much are you looking to change RT?

 

Also, depending on which offset wheels you are using, the tire might need a little alteration up front....

 

Going from 26 to 27 and driver side hits the front of the fender. Going to take some creative work.

 

I think the earlier foxes have smaller front wheel wells

 

I guess it depends on the k-member & A-arms being used. 28's look like they are going to fit on my car.

 

If I remember the model years correctly correctly, the '90-'93 fenders have larger openings for the factory 16" & 17" wheels than the '79-'88 fenders.
