Not to start off a 50 page thread, but lots of people remember Selmer, TN and don't want to take any chances. Things can go incident free for 50 years, but after the lawyers bite in on the first incident, you sure as hell don't want to be a party to the second one.

I for one will anything I can to help get a new dragstrip in Michigan..................Don't care where it is !

I missed the "with guard rails" note in there - sorry about that. I didn't mean to come across like I was comparing them, but you asked why there were no responses and was just thinking that it is similar enough (just in that it is a race of some kind on a street of some kind) that it can bring those thoughts.

That's all I meant - sorry for the confusion and good luck with the event!

bbz? u running this street race? my dad is talking bout going to some street rod show in Kzoo on saturday. To bad we just plated and insured the car. went 9.80 last month or so with more in it...

my cousin goes up to that race every year and has wanted me to bring my car i just keep forgetting which weekend it is. he said it is a really safe deal they got and alot of fun.
