I have a Moroso oil filter adapter that takes either a Wix 51222R or a Fram HP6 oil filter.
I cant seam to cross the wix # to a conventional filter #. Im sure they make one and I know Chris U uses a conventional style.
Anyone have any info on this?
Thank you in advance!!

Call your local NAPA autoparts store. The Napa filters are WIX and they stock damn near every number they have ever made an can usually order anything that WIX makes.

Add the PurePower that is made specifically to replace those two filters on that adapter and you will get 74 gallons per minute flow and that is a bunch. It is expensive but you buy it only one time.

Can't you use a regular GM thread in the block? WE have one for that too that flows at 38 gpm and filters down to 12 micron but is rated at 22 micron absolute.

Thanks for replying Ed, wish I could. Its a external pump deal and the filter portion of the block has been milled off!
