I'm fabbing a wishbone for my ladder bar car. Plan is to mount it to the lower ladder bar holes on the housing and the single front pivot and slider tube will mount on the ladder bar cross member.

1) On the front heim I was going to have the thru bolt oriented horizontal so the suspension travel will swivel on the bolt, didn't know if it made a difference? Is the heim any better (stronger) with the bolt vertical? Didn't think there'd be enough travel in that direction.

2) When I adjust the IC position on the ladder bars the wishbone won't be in the same plane as the LB's at all IC locations. Does that matter since the slider tube is there? I'm trying to picture in my head and seems to me it shouldn't matter. Should be within 1" to 1-1/2" at all times though.

Thanks.

You're thinking correctly.....it will work fine mounted like that.

I usually mount it on top of housing with single heim vertical bolt....no trouble.
