Your limited street class that is practically outclassed by ez street.

Spectator counts are low at most events due to poor marketing. The ADRL would be no different if it wasn't for the outstanding marketing of Kenny Knowling. I blame the economy and the organizations/tracks for the lack of fan turnouts. Creating restrictions to Outlaw 10.5 will do nothing to bring in more fans, most of them don't care one way or another, they just want to see cars hauling ass. They could care less if they are turbo, nitrous or gerbil powered. The runs apparently made by Mobley's guys today prove nitrous combos can still hang with any of them.

All I can say is 'remember' Pro Street, with emphasis on remember... same for Pro 5.0... both dead classes because people did not have the cubic dollars to compete.
The hand writing is on the wall, you can choose to read it or ignore it. Either way if something isn't done to bring parity between the combinations, this class will die just like the 2 above. Sadly drag radials on the same path... it's just a matter of time.
I've watched this pattern repeat it's self a few times over the last 11 years, Pro Street, Pro 5.0 and NPS are the 3 I can think of off the top of my head.

Today, nitrous cars ran 4.36 in the 1/8th. Id say there is great parity.
Prostreet in the NMCA seems to be doing well?

Guess what rule is consistent for both the EZ street class and Limited Street class.

Sexton went 4.36 today.
So, lets remove wheelie bars from 10.5 cars, how are the fans supposed to tell the difference between 10.5 cars and limited street cars?
Removing bars from cars making 2500hp is just asking for trouble.
In fact, i think it would put the nitrous guys at even more of a disadvantage, they wouldnt be able to get off the line as quick.
I think you are way off base with your line of thinking on wheelie bars.

At what cost did he run the number? Did he hurt anything and can he continue to do it without hurting parts?
Pro Street use to run every where just like 10.5 does now... what other series has Pro Street or it's equivalent? Other than NMCA, the only place you find it is with specific booked in organizations like NE Pro Mods, PMRA, automatic Pro Mods. Yea I know Pro Mods, not pro street... that's what it evolved to. Nobody won in that deal.
9 cars in Pro Street at Milan and no one could understand where the rest of the cars where. I talked to Budano, Demiere, Lutz and others who wondered where everybody was too. I thought maybe the ADRL, they said they looked at the names from the qualifying sheets and could only account for 1 or 2 possibles.

Paulk/Hoyle don't seem to have a problem with their nitrous combos. They are same nitrous motors 10.5 guys are usuing. just heavier cars and smaller tires.
my point is that removing wheelie bars may slow both combos down. requiring more finessing than all out passes. They would actually be safer than L/S because they are light and have bigger tires. the turbo cars seem to use the wheelie bars all the way down the track were nitrous car don't appear to.
or limit wheelie bar length to the back bumper (similar to NHRA Stock).
I applaud Team Mobley's runs today but it will take time to see if they can repeat it in different conditions.

Paulk and hoyle have 860" fulton engines with 4 kits?
I am sure mobley's cars will run well at the shakedown.

I wonder why all of the big 10.5 guys are switching to ADRL?
I believe it has to do with exposure.

Oh, so if mobley doesnt share his secrets we need rule changes? Thats stupid. The point is, mobley just proved the nitrous combos can run with the turbo cars.
Do you think lynch just shares what he learns?
Do you think NFL teams give the other team their game plan?
If you go to proline, you pay for their knowledge.
If you go to fulton, you pay for the nitrous knowledge.

no Paulk has a 762 and not sure on Hoyle.
If you are saying Mobley has 860 then as far as I know or have heard he is the only nitrous "Outlaw" 10.5 racer that does.
(Barfield's now sits in an Auto ProMod).
That being said, if that is what it takes for a nitrous car to be competitive, then again we are asking for folks to spend alot of money that they might not have.
Whatever the solution his it needs to be relatively inexpensive.
The economy is taking its toll and asking either combo to spend big $ to change doesn't seem reasonable.
As someone else said if we keep saying step up or stay home..not very many will be leaving the house.

I just find it very amusing how everyone wants to help nitrous cars now. The same nitrous guys that told glidden, vincent, and others 3000lbs and RWYB. These nitrous guys were laughing at the turbo cars while they were figuring things out. Nobody offered to give them help till they got their combos sorted out.

Not being a smart butt but what does ADRL do to give exposure to the 10.5 guys (besides the obvious fans in the stands).
Most press I read about XTF (except results) is from racer PR or fans such as yourself.

Lets see...
35-40K fans in the stands seeing your car. That is what sponsors want to see. They want their name getting maximum exposure on the side of your car.
Look at how many big named, corporate sponsors ADRL has.
ADRL has its own magazine, and TV show of its races.
ORSCA has nothing.
XTF isnt even the headline class of ADRL.

It is about keeping people and their cars in the class and some appearance of parity.
You did the smart thing and built a turbo car because turbo cars are ruling right now........why anyone would start a new nitrous project right now is beyond me, unless they can make the 860-870 cid deal work like Mobely has. Barfield couldn't.
I personally don't care which combo is faster. I just want full fields so that we can continue to have races and everyone that shows up a legitimate shot at qualifying and winning. Right now that ain't happening in ORSCA or KOTH evidently.

I dont think rule changes are going to bring in full fields.
The economy, and lack of exposure is killing ORSCA.
