8 pass on a new 427 sbf, highport heads sv intake 4.56 gear mustang, been 9.36 @ 145 so far with a 1.36 60',convertor goes to 6200 on the leave. If I can squeeze a 1.32-1.33 60' out of it will it go 20s or better. 2875 w/ driver. shifting at 7500. 7900 at the stripe.

It could, it really just depends how/why the 60 is off. The first few passes I made on my 440 were in the [email protected] range with 60's from 1.35-1.40. However, I was in and out of the throttle trying to keep the nose down. Finally got the shocks/travel close on pass #4 and went [email protected] with a 1.28 60'.

What size rear tire? Bias?

Started out with 4.88s first time out, 9.70s @ 139-140 the car was all done @ 8100

went 9.70s @ 139-140 with 4.88s then switched to 4.56s and the car went 9.30s @ 145. high 5.90s in the 1/8 after the switch to 56s. 6 teens w/88s go figure.

60 ft is definitely off some. I'm going 1.38 sixties and [email protected] in good weather. I haven't run a 1/4 mile pass with that kind of 1/8 mile ET though since car and driver aren't legal for 9s yet.

The motor should have the power for what you're looking for, just gotta get that sixty foot down.
