Hi, I'm new here. I noticed something weird this past weekend and thought this would be the best place for an answer. I went to the IHRA race in Grand Bend and noticed that when ever one of the faster nitrous cars went down you got a wiff of chlorine. Is this some new trick?

When the mixture is right, that's how the exhaust fumes smell. :supz:

It's not Q16. C23 gives off that smell when it's burning clean. I don't think I've thought of it as a chlorine smell, but that sounds good!

You are SOOO funny!
I've been going to the races for over thirty years and I've never smelled any gas that smelled like what was in the air. It was like a high school swimming pool with an overdose of chlorine.

No biggie just thought some one here could clue me in.

Q-16 has a VERY different smell. Most of the IHRA P/M (N2O) and P/S cars would have been running VP C-23 at Martin.
