That would also involve fly cutting in stock shortblock scenario,no? .i would like to preserve the integrity of the piston amapPeople seem to be a bit fan of angle milling and getting down to the 50cc range
surely this is a rhetorical questionWhy are you trying to make the chambers that small?
I know angle milling doesn't effect ptv as much as flat milling. But if you were rolling over a set of trick flows or something that already had increased valve clearance I would think you could probably get away with a lot. That would also involve fly cutting in stock shortblock scenario,no? .i would like to preserve the integrity of the piston amap
Surely someone makes small chamber heads

I understand the concept, I just don't know why you would want to make the quench area that small... Then again, what do I know? :smt100surely this is a rhetorical question

C5R head that I know of.
IIRC you can get the Mozez, LSR from Edelbrock and I'm sure Bob has a small chamber program.
Kinda overkill for a stock short block.
Smallest chamber I know of is the PRC 62cc chambers in their As Cast heads. IIRC they also offer that chamber on their 227 and 237 heads.
That would be the most feasible for what you're doing.
thanks man. I didnt know that about angle milling.I know angle milling doesn't effect ptv as much as flat milling. But if you were rolling over a set of trick flows or something that already had increased valve clearance I would think you could probably get away with a lot.
AI has some small chamber stuff in stock casting if I remember right.
Milling won't effect quench on ls stuff I don't think.I understand the concept, I just don't know why you would want to make the quench area that small... Then again, what do I know? :smt100
Oh and compression!!!!!I understand the concept, I just don't know why you would want to make the quench area that small... Then again, what do I know? :smt100
Think he mentioned ptvWhy not get a set and just cut them.
My mean street motor has stock 243 castings @ 43.5cc's
Woah. How much of a cut?Why not get a set and just cut them.
