If you have a large enough bore the IDT Eliminator A460s with a 2.45 valve is over 500cfm. Would be an awesome setup in a low 500s BBF with EFI and nitrous. If you can afford BES give them a call

If I were to do a set of Max Effort A460 heads would try minimum 2.480" valve, but really 2.500-2.520" and welded up pushrod hole on intake side. still get like 1.800-1.830 exh valve in there.

I know Charlie & Lem Evans have taken TEA CNC casting ,then did there valve job/valve size like 2.470 or 2.490" but no welded intake pushrod hole so still had pinch there, went about 490-500cfm.

i live about 25-40miles from them

I dont mean out of the box.. or bang for buck.. I mean the all out best A460 head done by whoever..

If that's your goal, I would go straight to Larry Morgan.

Charlie and Laws can team up and get you all you can get out of a set of A's. But 500+ on anyones A head will be a happy flow bench. You have to be a customer in order to get Charlie to do a set of heads. Don't expect to find a set on Ebay and then send them to him to work his magic.

I have done the A 460 ford heads that flowed over 500 cfm with a 2.400 valve. They took a lot of work to get there. To do this kind of a head and flow you need the largest bore available because the large valve is badly shrouded by the cylinder wall. I would look at a 4.625 bore and less stroke for a given engine size.
