It looks like the race is 3 weeks after sema? What hotels should we stay away from?

It depends on where you want to stay, there is over 144,000 rooms in vegas..
The only nice place near the track is the cannery, and is usually the host hotel for the race.
Because of the date change this year, you will be able to stay just about anywhere, including the strip, and get a great deal.

Doug's car is a small block nitrous combo built by Jason Pettis and Nitrous by Steve Johnson. There's a PSCA 10th Anniversary decal in the grille, so from far away it looks like a turbo sticking through

We had a blast at the canary , there is pics to prove it but no way want them on the bullet!!!!

The northwest guys should have 2-3 wild streets and 2 outlaw radial cars coming

What is the elevation and barometric numbers at Las Vegas??

Seen it listed at 2,100ft barometric pressure hard to say weather can change often that time of year.

I have stats from 2 years ago it starts in the high 5K range and at night it will drop down to about mid 3K. If a good front is in the area it can run low 4K at day time and low 3k high 2 K DA at early evenings.

Nothing rowdy at all about the cannery, very nice locals casino, that was built in 2003. The rooms are just standard rooms, nothing special.
Even if you don't stay there, you should be hitting the buffet before or after the races. Its the best of the cheaper buffets in town, about 8.00 for lunch and 11.00 for dinner.

I reserved my room at the Canary and we will be out a week early because it's also my 20th wedding anniversery that week so me and the wife are coming out a little early and then the kids will come out on Friday of the race.

You will only be 10 min from the track (North) and 10 min from the Vegas Strip (South) a perfect place right in the middle!!! Congrats on 20 years!!!

no the canary is a nice place all i am saying is fill it with 200 racers from what i heard last year it was like a party there after the race at night with al tucci and all the racers knocking a couple back
