I'm looking for a 5" aluminum muffler for my downpipe. The shorter the better. Does anyone on here make or sell something like this?
Thanks

Here's my Cobra with the same engine set-up with 4" Ultra Flows

This was exhaust dumped behind the tranny.

This is a set where the customer wanted turn downs added.

Weight, and most of us run aluminum downpipes these days.
I had twin 4" exhaust with the Ultra flows to the rear axle, weight was just over 70 lbs. When I went to the 3.5" same length, total weight was 25-26 lbs. The muffs which are 10" long 5" case with packing weigh 3.5 lbs. each.

behind bars race cars made mine. its a "muffler" wink wink.
i also have a vibrant muffler that i can swap in the alum ones place. the vibrant is a real muffler. there is NO sound difference at all.

gt4788, 4" alum downpipe. dumps in passenger lower A arm.

BBRC muffler was under $90 shipped

I think it was some type of industrial scillicate(glass) based insulation supposed to be good to 1800*. The builder stated in another thread that it was better quality than what other people were using. I like the inner mesh which looks to be stainless over other designs that are just a pipe with holes on it. I think you get a higher area exposed to the sound deadener.
