I put a new set of 3055, 28/10.5 et drags, on the car this year. I have been going 1.36 all this year and steped it up and went 1.32 and 1.34. Now the car is stuck in the 1.40's.

car is a 3300 lb fox capri. Stock, stock, stock sus car. Has HP Mega Bite uppers and lowers, 50/50 drag shocks, sephical bushings in the uper rear end and stock gt mustang springs. No adjusting anything.

388 windsor on 300 hp of Sj fogger. makes 700 to 725 at the rear wheels.

This weekend at the race went out in the 2nd round and put my 275/60 M/T et street radials. The car went 1.45 60 and 5.89 at 121.

on the slicks I ran 1.40 all day and the fastest it went was 5.83.

The car hit so hard on the drag radials I hit my helment on the cage.

Now I run the car with a glide on the brake at 3500 on the2 step and the nitrous hits when i let the brake off. 300hp of n2o.

tryed that on the radials and blew them up. the best was 2500 foot brake and footed to the floor.

to me the car hooked better with the stiff e/t street radial than the slick

IS IT TIME FOR A STIFF WALL SLICK? ANY HELP?

Sounds like it's time to at least try one pair and see if you get the car dialed in.
I switched at high 9's 3200+ lbs. I was ripping the sidewalls up & getting less then 10 pass' on a pair.
With the stiff, I could get up to 40.
Good luck.

I run a bigger tire but I went to a stiff because I was breaking the side walls down on standard slicks.
