Favorite from this year so far is a tossup between Paul, The Fighter, and True Grit. Although, The Town kicked major ass, too. Favorite of all time may go to Platoon but that's a tough call.

As a movie buff, I really do not have a favorite..... but I do have a top shelf in my collection and they are below.



Kill Bill Volume 1 & 2 (Probably my 2nd best... this is film making genius)

Shawshank Redemption ( Justice served)

The Sting (Ahead of its time)

Fistful of dollars (Any movie where the star tries to get the bad guys to apologize to his mule is A-okay in my book)

Bourne Identity (Best spy movie of modern times)

The Predator (Intensity & setting was a masterpiece)

Jaws (Nothing needs to be said about this classic)

Dances with Wolves(3.5 hour epic that you didn't want to end)

Goodfella’s (In my opinion, best wiseguy movie ever)

Once upon a time in the West (GREAT western)

Schindlers List (Disturbing movie, but great cinema)

No Country for O
ld Men (One of the best movies in the last 5 years)

Cast Away (Tom Hanks could make a soccer ball interesting)

War of the Wor
lds (I like well done sci-fi's)

Saving Private Ryan (GREAT movie and the Production itself was incredible)

The Silence of the Lambs (Best monster in modern times)

Fargo (Something about this movie hits the mark)


Forrest Gump(If somebody put a gun to my head.... this is probably the greatest movie ever made in my opinion)

Braveheart (Inspiring movie...)

The Matrix (Too bad the 2nd and 3rd were Horrible)

Good Will Hunting (great movie for a lot of reasons)

The Fugitive (Classic !!)

Heat (Classic again !!)

Clerks (Great Comedy !!)

Dumb & Dumber (Another Great comedy !!)

Driving Miss Daisy (I don't know why, but this movie worked for me)

Blazing Saddles (Greatest comedy ever)

Das Boot(Re-defines intensity in a movie)

Fast times at Ridgemont High(Maybe its my age, but this was funny)

Jeepers Creepers(Great Horror movie)

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (Perhaps my fav oldie)

Jeremiah Johnson (Epic Tale )

The Outlaw Josey Wales(Another Epic Tale)

Enemy at the Gates (Sleeper movie.... its great, watch it !)

Casino(Another Classic )

A river runs through it (Movie tempo is perfect, hits home personally)

The Deer Hunter (Crazy movie.... great cinema)

If you haven't seen every movie above in my collection.... I envy you, because you have some great movies to look forward to watching that I don't.... I've already seen them many times. I'll spare you my 3rd shelf, but its got a lot of sleeper movies on it most have never heard of.

not really a favorite, in no particular order. just good movies ive seen more than once.
