A buddy of mine had this on a shelf in his shop. It came from a friend of his. The guys dad passed away years ago. His buddies dad was always experimenting with different things. We are trying to figure out what this was for. It appears that he had made a base for it to bolt to something. The home made plate is on the exhaust side and it has a shaft to drive the intake. It has a few casting numbers but I have found nothing that matches yet.
What do you think??

It's a "turbo conveyor" . They used them to pressurize grain tanks on semi trucks to offload the grain. Probably driven by a small gas engine.

Thanks Rick....never seen one before but I was almost sure it wasn't a flux capacitor. lol
