4.56 gears and a 28" tire. How many RPM will that engine handle should be the question if your going to run 1/4 mile. sounds like a solid 7.20's car in the 1/8 tho but dont be surprised if it runs out of ass in the 1/4. No insult intended, just my thoughts

I am running a 28" tall tire and 10.50s and was only hitting 7400 rpm. He should be fine as long as he doesn't go faster than mid 10s IMHO.

if you have that car down to 3300 with you in the seat you did a lot of weight trimming. a guy near me has one that he backhalfed and it still weighs 3620 with him in it. he is a 400th with a aluminum head bbc though.with a 220 lb driver.

i think 11.30s with the 355

at 13.0 compression, you could have used more cam with a wider lobe sep. also, you could use a super victor manifold, with just a port match. might have to bump the converter up to 5500 though. try what you have first and go from there.

this car has already run 12 teens last year with a stock bore 350 not balanced or bored. (which it needed) with flat tops, a 525 comp solid, vic jr, pro systems 780, and a tight 3500 convertor. im thinking 11:30's til the bugs are out, then 10:80's in good air

If it won't run mid 10s (assuming the suspension is right) then throw it away. The 71 Nova I drive every now and then has a 13:1 355 in it with a relatively small flat tappet cam, Brodix track 1s, Victor Jr, and a turbo 400 with a 5800 converter, and a 4.56 gear @ 3150 lbs and has ran 10.69 with me in it.

You should have no problem running 10.70's - 10.80's.
I had a very similiar combo running 11.00's w/ only 11:1 comp and a smaller cam.
I was also heavier
