OK I know I'm going to get beat to a pulp for this, but here goes.

1 thing that should be done is to spread out the payouts more evenly. With the winner and runner up now getting like 90 % of the payout. The cars that used to come and play and be fillers for the ladders are not going to show . You will only get the 2 or 3 that know they have a realistic chance of winning.

OK I'm ready ........ let the bashing begin :(

Not a bad idea Rick, that's how the roundy round guys do it. It would be a major paradigm shift for all drag racers, but that just might be the ticket to keeping down costs and speeds. If the purse at the end of the day is smaller than it use to be, then perhaps folks would re-think how much money they'd put in their car...

You could do the same think with contingency money. Let's say company x pays $200 for 1st and $100 for 2nd. Take that money and push it back 4 places. Break it down like this. $125, $75, $50, $50 might help as well, plus it would sell more items if a person knew they get money if the finished in the top 4.

Start over...

Less races...

Less classes (alot less)...

More advertising...

More payout to those behind winner/runner-up

Better rule alignment with other "Bodies"...

Better web-site...

Lower entry fees...

Lower memberships...

One day events... two day for the finals...

Race at better tracks that have a large audience base (Like Norwalk, Route 66, etc) ...

Try an 1/8 mile format out at a track (There are some damn good 1/8th mile venues)...

Say "No" to No problem, Say "Yes" to Moroso Park...

My Humble opinion

Damn, mark this day on my calender! MRay and me in partial agreement on something!

God must be smiling on me today, My newborn son ate his first "cereal" this morning, my workers are back after a labor dispute in the field, and MRay and me not arguing. Things are looking good for me.

Well here my 2 cent.

-Keep the races closest to the large membership.
-Keep the 2 day events. Who will travel for a one day event??
-Less classes. Combine the 2 top classes.
-Payout less to winner, more to others in class
-Lower spec. entry fees = more spec.
-Membership. When you get your membership, you get PRINTED rules for the class your in. Other classes on request.
-Streamline rules and except for unforseen times. Leave them for the year. MIN
-Let the racer "drop" his worst race, or one race in the season.
-Try to the the "track" that your at to help. With a Saturday night thing.
-Try to get people to say what they want in WRITING to come back or stay.
-See whats working at the local levels, and see if you can incoperate it into the national level. IE rules, weights, cars.

There is nothing wrong with Local Track having Street Racing Programs.

As long as we have a some rules Parity between Local Tracks and The Racing

Organizations.

Because you would want the Local Racer to be included also when the Big Show comes to Town.

Fans love to see their local running in the Show.

The locals are "killing" the big boys left and right. They are either using rules like thoe down south or going back to the old school rules of the mid to late 90's.

What needs to be done? EVERYTHING and NOTHING.....

What would be great in the perfect world is that the NSCA and /or PRO get sets of rules from EVERY smaller orginization, series, and whatnot around the country and make their rules as close as possible to those. Then run races using THOSE rules in specific areas...
