Having a hard time finding stainless valves for 317 heads. I know a lot of guys just run stockers but I would think some good stainless valves if not enconel exh would be better, I just don't see any listed anywhere and was curious if anyone had a part number. I am planning on stock size valves, dual springs, most likely 20psi max. Stock crank, howards rods w/ bolt upgrade, weisco pistons 9:1, hyd roller [email protected] .588 lift. 6.0L Going in a 71 chevelle street car with 4l80, yank converter, tran go etc. Turbos are hx35 7 blade compressor wheel for now until I get the car done. I may upgrade later. Air to air intercooler most likely on pump gas. Will most likely stay under 12-14 psi on pump gas.

Call Mike at Total Engine Airflow... He can source some valves for you.... Inconel... You dont need inconel in a 12-14 psi pump gas street motor. The stockers are fine...hell stock everything would be fine. Make the cam 228/232 on a 115+3.

That turbo will work well once you get it up about 20 psi

thanks for the input, seems sometimes the simple things can be the most time consuming.

I was going to use stock bottom end etc but it seems to be good insurance for longevity. I can see a pair of bigger turbos going on this in the future some time so I though it would be wise to over build now rather than have to tear it down later. As far as inconel valves go do they beat up the seats under long term street use? I will be driving this car a lot and plan on 15-20k miles a year as it will eventually be my daily driver.
