There are plenty of NPS cars that run mid sevens. and now of course there's Beason (sp??) that has run 7.20's on a single 0.030 pill.

At the OVOS races up here there are several big tire 3200+ single stage cars running 4.70-4.80 the fastest having run a 4.69. There's a small tire (28x10.5) that has been 4.9's at 3200lbs on one kit.

What about Trevor Stripling? Doesn't his car have a fogger now? I know it went 4.99 with the plate.

i would imagine that the nps guys have high end motors that make alot of n/a power but require lots of maintence to run that fast with such small jets..they are bad ass for sure.

We have been doing all our testing this year with 44s. When we get it to hook it should run in the .90s.

Will, Beason is from this area, and I think he has a 632 with 1 fogger, and I think the N jet limit is 32, but I'm not sure. It is my understanding that his Motor alone makes about 1350 HP. He runs at our track SCR all the time, and has it together, and is a super guy...works very hard at it, and has FUN too. I think he runs NMCA.

Our '69 Camaro has run 7.62 @ 178 on single 34N in July in 3000' DA with the 665 maybe making 1150 HP on motor (4.93 @ 144 1/8) on 33 x 10.5 tires at 3000# with 3.60 gear & Glide. We are changing to a 3.90 gear, and with that change, and better DA coming in a couple of months, and Madman working on the suspension with newer front suspension Parts, I THINK we can go 7.50 @ 180...or at least that is the goal...hehehe. To run that #, I think we will have to get the 60' to 1.14 & 1/8 to 4.85. The last time I weighed the car was 3 weeks ago with the TTF tires (the day before I wrecked it), and it weighed 3002#, so with the Centerline front wheels (total 4# heavier) and larger 33 x 10.5 tires (total 12# heavier), we should be at about 3020# race ready.

my 526 ci pontiac has gone 5.14 with the same tune @ 3215.

nps can only have a #32 jet !! those guys are flying ..and they give weight breaks for smaller motor or bigger jets.
