To drill for a 1/16 NPT? I have the tap but not sure about what size drill to use. Thanks

my chart says letter drill "D" it,s .246" so if you don,t have that 1/4" would be the closest size .

Mine says "C" , but I use 15/64 when I do mine. I like to phase my nozzles in, so they are tight.

Damn Paul, I had to go look.

LOL, threads are my life, I have 5 patents on thread rolling attachments for screw machines so trust me I know threads. I was kind of suprised as 1/16-27 is not very popular, I figured fogger nozzles were all 1/8-27 tapered pipe.

Anyone that is planning on tapping some tapered pipe threads should invest in a set of tapered pipe reamers. The quality you will get by dropping the drill size and reaming the hole before you tap it is well worth the extra time and money and it will avoid leaks!

I have only done 2 foggers by myself, but when I told some friends I had indexed the nozzles they were laughing at me.
I wanted them tight with no slop. I didn't know about a reamer.
