in order. my glock 21sf, norc 1911. I used to have a sw 686, but it failed on me once, simple, the extractor rod backed out a bit and lodged itself.
never had an issue with either the norc or the glock.

Clint Smith said that the purpose of a handgun is to fight your way to your long gun. Smart man.

If I know in advance that I'm being invited to a gunfight, I'll bring my M4.

I got a Colt Officers 1911.

While not known as a great feeder, I have massaged the ramp etc. and have had zero issues regardless of ammo type.

Since I use the gun for self defense I have a stronger recoil spring and keep it loaded with Federal 230 +P defense rounds.

Although it gives up some in accuracy compared to the longer models its easy to carry and fits my hands well and I feel its got plenty of stopping power.

Everyday carry. Glock G20 10mm - my favorite and over 5500 rds through it. No FTF. Perfect for anything human or non-human with a heartbeat.

Depends on the situation. I'm an old guy so I still trust the 1911 .45acp. Of course you only get 7 rounds (unless you chamber one and reload, then you can get 8). There are a lot of good .9mms out there. I'm partial to the CZ 75 but the Sigs and Walthers are also good.
