Thanks Jesse -- heard the car is going great. Have some fun now.

I like to see a 40 micron before and a 10 micron after. However, if you are really "on top of" your fuel then you probably can use a 100 micron before. If you strain your fuel out of the drum, in to your fuel jug and then filter before the cell -- a 100 will work fine.

If you are getting fuel from different sources -- use the 40 micron before. Our pumps have very tight clearances and particles that a 100 micron filter "can possibly" allow through can potentially jam (unlikely but still can happen) the rotor, causing the coupler we place between the motor and pump element to break. By breaking it prevents further damage to both the motor and pump element. Although it is very unlikely to ever damage a pump element due to its construction and the material that we use.
