What's the weight of a stock 454 mark IV bare block? Two bolt is what I'm looking for but I can't imagine four bolt would be but a few pounds more. I've searched and can't find the answer. Thanks!

Bowtie blocks are about 270 and they are heavier than a stock block.
They do, but if I remember correctly those were the blocks that you can bore out to a 4.60...that would be an apples to oranges.

Reason I ask is because I've gone to a Merlin III block which is listed as 270 pounds weight, so was looking for how much weight on the nose I've increased...

I weighted one a while back at 248. it really surprised me. especially after I picked it up off the ground and put it in my truck bed by myself. I had no idea they were that much stock.
