I am looking to push a turbo small block to it's limits, and am wondering what the recommendation would be for fuel. I had been leaning toward VP Import, but would like to know if anyone has any head to head results when compared with Q16. It looks like the Import will make marginally more power, but is it worth the price?

From what we've seen in a small import motor is that unless we revv righ high the Q16 works just as well as Import.

But once the motor got way up in RPM's thats where the Import shined.

For high boost (30-50+) the distillination numbers are really important along with the octain rating. That tells you how the fuel will handle the mechanical heat load of the compressor. If your motor does not need the additional range of the VP Import you will see no advatage over the Q16 or C16 for that matter. But I can tell you hands down the VP Import will take the engine to boost levels the Q16 can only dream of.
The Q16 distillination numbers are not even as good as the C16.
