I purchased an MT-82 six speed transmission Stage 1 rebuild kit for $899.00 from AMP Distributing. The synchro hubs and sliders were so poorly machined it wouldn't stay in second gear and then bound up so bad you couldn't engage any other gear. A complete waste of time installing their sub-standard kit.
The first rebuild I upgraded with new Mcleod RST clutch and flywheel, new Ford throwout bearing,( throwout spacer is installed ), new Shelby clutch master cylinder, new stainless braided clutch line, new Ford Performance aluminum driveshaft.
I purchased another rebuild kit from another supplier and amazingly the trans works well.
The only help AMP Distributing was willing to offer was the trans was incorrectly assembled the first time?

You could’ve saved time and money by returning the poorly machined parts instead of building the tranny.
