Is there a advantage of a Vega box over a stock manual box? If so what is it. I would think if I were going to invest in a Vega style box, I would just assume go rank and pinion. That is of course unless I already had one.

purchased one that was "supposed" to have been a G body take off...the box is a aluminum flaming rivers deal and is only like 8 or 9 pounds......pittman arm is giving me some issues , so the box may end up on a friends hot rod chassis...;) also thought of doing a rack conversion.....anyone know what the width needs to be , and how wide the rack potion is without the tie rod ends....? got a new street rod mustang II rack here and a machinist on speed dial:p

Call TRZ, they sell a pre narrowed kit for the s10 width and one specific to g-bodies.
