This is a solid roller going into a small inch SBF (310 cube range).

It has pretty aggressive lobes, and the installed height is likely to be 1.900. 2.08 stainless intake valve, 1.60 exhaust. Short valves, I believe their OAL is 4.965. So not too heavy.

I think the engine will likely peak somewhere in the 7200 to 7500 range.

The cam specs are 240/246 at .050. 110 LSA. 24* overlap. 401/380 lobe lift. Likely to use 1.7 rockers.

Looking for something 1.550 in diameter, thinking the seat pressure should be good at 220# or so.

Any ideas or recommendations?

How about open pressure?
Have you ever considered running a smaller diameter spring, somewhere in the 1.3 inch range?
I set up a set of Cleveland heads recently for a solid roller with these and it worked great. Less mass = happier valvetrain.

Dont have a clue about open pressure.

As to a smaller diameter spring, it would be great. However I dont know what part numbers to look for.

PAC 1237X is a 1.274 spring that sets up at 1.8 inches and can take .700 lift .
200 seat ,580 open.
If you need more spring the 1238X is a bit beefier. 250 seat ,700 open.

No more rpm then you’re turning, K-Motion K-900’s would work. Now, that ain’t the caliber of the PAC springs listed, but they are a reasonably priced decent spring.

In my opinion, the camshaft manufacturer should be consulted to recommend valve springs for a particular application.
