I am running a set of PAC 1255 beehive springs and am having a difficult time finding a set of spring locators.
My heads have 1.750 spring pockets and .500 guides...
The closest thing I can find with a .970 OD shoulder to fit the inside of these springs is a set of Comp locators with a 1.508 OD and .565 ID (for the guide).
Other than having custom locators made is there any acceptable way to make the Comp locators work?
For example... I could make a set of spring cups on the lathe out of aluminum with an OD of 1.745 and an ID of 1.510. The Comp locator would then be located by the aluminum cup...
I am just trying to come up with an alternative to having custom locators made as I need them "yesterday"...
