Hey, Chris....

Is there anything to be gained in airflow by relieving (flycutting) the pistons for more clearance around the intake valve at max lift? If so, would the loss of compression counteract any improved airflow?

Just curious...

No, but you dont want the great wall of China around your exhaust valve relief either,like some guys do with dome pistons. Nothing taller than the valve margin. JMO
Sorry to go off on a tangent.
