I have a collectors edition John Wayne gun and was wondering whats its worth? Its a model 1892 lever action brand new in box never fired. I have had it for years just dont need it!

Do a google search on gun appraisers?
take a look on gun gunbroker http://www.gunbroker.com/ or auction arms http://www.auctionarms.com/. They are the ebay of guns.

i have one also. value is around 1500 but the market is slow right now . would be lucky to get 1200 if needed to sell quick.

Some FFL's(gun dealer) will take a shipment from a non FFL, but not all. Easiest way is to go to a local FFL and have them ship it to the FFL that buyer is using to do the transfer. They will over night it for you. But your local FFL will need a copy(fax or e mail copy) of the buyers FFL before they will ship it
Also I agree with the numbers on the value above, saw one sell about three months back at a local auction go for about those numbers.
