I am looking to see if anyone knows if a vacuum pump could overheat your oil? please explain if it does.

No.
the oil shouldn't be flowing thru the vacuum pump, atleast none other than the small residual amount being pulled from valve cover or valley tray and then gets blown into the catch can.

The only thing that I ever used a vacuum pump for, is to take oil from the engine and spray it all over the engine compartment from the shitty little puke tank they sell ya .

I do not run a vacuum pump anymore ..
